The birds are singing, the snow is melting and the warmer air is upon us. All this sunshine can only mean one thing, it’s time to clean! We have made it easy to tackle this year’s spring cleaning with this room by room, spring cleaning checklist. So open up your windows, put on your favorite music, and let’s get started!

When should I start spring cleaning?
Spring cleaning is a great way to refresh your home after the winter months. There are many health benefits associated with a good spring cleaning as well. Some of the added health benefits include distressing, mental clarity, boosting productivity, improving your mood, and better sleep. So there is no set rule as to when you should start your spring cleaning! Some people start on the first day of spring, which is fun, but we suggest starting whenever it fits into your schedule.
Spring Cleaning Checklist
ALL ROOMS
Wash baseboards and crown molding
Wipe down and sanitize doors and doorknobs
Clean light fixtures and replace burnt-out bulbs
Wipe down fans
Vacuum and wash out vents and replace filters
Wash windows, including trim (you’ll love these microfiber cloths for windows!)
Dust or wash blinds
Wash curtains and other window treatments
Vacuum is a must
Shampoo carpets and rugs
Polish and wipe down furniture
Check ceiling and all corners to remove dust and cobwebs
Dust and wipe down all decor
Wipe down light switches
Wipe down walls and remove scuff marks
Laundry Room
Wipe down inside and outside of all cabinets or storage
Remove clutter and unused items
Organize cabinets or storage
DEEP clean washing machine
Clean dryer and dryer vent
Move washing machine and dryer to clean behind and underneath appliances

Kitchen
Wipe down inside and outside of all cabinets, drawers, and shelves
Remove unused items and clutter
Organize cabinets, drawers, and shelving
Organize pantry and throw away expired food
Deep clean sink and faucet
Clean garbage disposal (these pods are the best!)
Wash and disinfect trash can
Clean inside and outside of refrigerator and freezer, including throwing away expired food
Clean oven and oven vent
Clean stove
Clean microwave
Clean toaster oven
Clean toaster
Disinfect coffee maker/Keurig
Move oven to sweep and mop behind it
Deep clean dishwasher
Clean and disinfect backsplash and countertops
Scrub drying racks

Dining Room
Wash table linens
Replace old table cloths or cloth napkins if needed
Get rid of unused items
Wipe down table and chairs
Wipe down any furniture or cabinets and organize
Bathroom
Deep clean tub and shower (we recommend a good scrub brush and tile cleaner.)
Wash shower curtain
Replace shower liner
Reseal grout
Scrub toilets
Wash and disinfect trash can
Wash mirror and vanity
Wipe down soap dispenser, toothbrush holder, and toiletries left out
Wipe down inside and outside of cabinets and drawers
Get rid of expired/unused items
Organize cabinets and drawers
Wash decorative towels
Replace old towels, wash rags, and loofahs
Bedrooms
Wash bedding
Wash pillows
Vacuum and rotate mattresses
Organize and clean nightstands
Clean and organize closets
Get rid of unused items
Rotate seasonal clothing
Move beds and furniture to clean underneath
Wipe down inside and outside of dressers
Organize dressers

Living Room/Family Room
Office
Throw away and organize all papers, books, and utensils
Wipe down desk, computer, printer, filing cabinet, etc.
Get rid of old files
Organize filing cabinet
Dust books and bookshelves (try this duster!)
Organize bookshelves
Wipe down any furniture
Move all furniture to clean underneath
